Personal Biography
Kola Omotoyinbo is a seasoned engineer who has an excellent flair for management. He obtained B. Sc (Hons) in Chemical Engineering in 1979 at University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University). Kola started his career in the oil industry by joining Dowell Schlumberger as a Field Engineer in 1981. During his years in Dowell Schlumberger, he was elevated in 1987 as the station Manager of Dowell Schlumberger operation base in Warri. This position he held until 1990 when he was seconded as District Manager of In-Amenas one of the two districts of Dowell Schlumberger Algeria operation.
Experience & Career
His wealth of experience spanning over 39years in the oil and gas industry includes, 17years of business management at senior Manager/Director level. He is specialized in financial management/negotiation and relationship management skills. Kola also offers consultancy in technical and strategic supports in the field of operations management, quality management and business improvement to companies in the oil and gas sector.
Personal Biography
Mel is British national and graduated from what is now the Sheffield Hallam University with a full city & guilds in mechanical engineering. Mel has worked on projects in more than 140 countries in mining, water, oil & gas, power and civil engineering.
Originally part of the design and production team that created one of the first screw compressors, Mel then moved into valve design and was again part of the team that designed, produced and sold the world first cryogenic ball valve.
Design has been a constant strength of Mel’s and he also helped design the original slide valve suitable for full vacuum. The original test procedure for double isolating plug valves was written by him. With over 25 years of experience working in Nigeria and being a founding partner of Mountleigh Oil & Energy Ltd, Mel brings a unique perspective into the intricacies of the industry.
